      2 – Should I See a Doctor?

Best Advice – Even if you don’t think you or your family members have been hurt in an accident, the best advice is to at least get checked out by a reputable or high-integrity injury doctor or provider who will “objectively” evaluate you.

Keep in mind – not all injuries resulting from accidents can be seen directly with the human eye.

Many injuries can be “internal” and therefore hard-to-detect.

Some injuries may not result in symptoms like pain immediately after they occur. Sometimes it can take months for the symptoms to arise.

Take “whiplash-associated” injuries, for example. The human head basically weighs as much as a bowling ball! Even very slight impacts or collisions can result in a whiplash effect to the cervical (“neck”) region of the body … and can result in micro- or macro-traumas to the ligaments (think of them as “cords”) which hold the neck region of the human skeleton together.

When traumas (even very small “tears”) occur to the ligaments, it can result in immediate pain … pain in the future … migraines … and even recurring pain throughout your life.

One of the keys in auto accident cases is to find a reputable or high-integrity injury doctor or provider who will OBJECTIVELY evaluate you and your family if you’ve been involved in an accident.

Objective tests help to establish, definitively, whether you were indeed injured … and to what extent.

Remember – in most cases, THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH when it comes to choosing your doctor!

3 – BE CHOOSY!!! – Our Best Advice to You

WHO YOU CHOOSE AS YOUR INJURY PROVIDERS IS PERHAPS YOUR MOST IMPORTANT DECISION. OUR BEST ADVICE IS SIMPLE – BE CHOOSY! I.E., USE SPECIAL CARE IN CHOOSING YOUR INJURY PROVIDERS.* IN MANY CASES, THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH THAT DECISION!

This may come as a surprise, but not all healthcare providers are necessarily willing and able to treat you if you’ve been involved in an auto accident.

The reason is that auto accidents can be COMPLICATED. They can entail LAWSUITS which can be intimidating for the providers.

Some providers may only be willing to treat you at no-out-pocket cost to you AS LONG AS YOUR OWN INSURANCE IS PROMPTLY COVERING THE BILLS.

Other providers may REQUIRE you to get an attorney … EVEN IF YOU DON’T WANT AN ATTORNEY.

If you’re currently seeing a chiropractor, keep in mind that auto accident injuries may not be that chiropractor’s main focus.

ALSO, KEEP IN MIND – NOT ALL HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS ARE NECESSARILY COMMITTED TO “OBJECTIVELY” EVALUATING HARD-TO-DETECT ACCIDENT INJURIES.

Throughout this site, and in our Auto Accident Guide, we will offer a few tips when it comes to selecting a reputable and experienced injury provider for you and your family.

Remember – in most cases, THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH when it comes to choosing your doctor!

4 – Request a “Free Consult”* with the Doctor

AT “BEST INJURY CLINICS,”* ANY INITIAL EXAMINATION ARISING OUT OF YOUR FREE INITIAL CONSULT CAN BE CANCELED BY YOU FOR ANY REASON AND WITHOUT ANY PENALTY.*

Best Injury Practices, Inc. – the publisher of this site – is in the business of developing injury care standards … as well as of training healthcare providers in the principles of injury care, documentation, and other facets of injury care.

As our company grows, you will find the providers we have trained listed on our site. If a provider claims to be a “Best Injury Clinic,”* and is not listed on our site, then the provider either has not been through our training or is not currently registered with us.

As trained and experienced as Best Injury Clinics and other doctors may be – the same rule applies. If you see a Best Injury Clinic or any other injury provider following an accident, THERE IS USUALLY NO REASON TO RUSH YOUR DECISION AS TO WHETHER THAT CLINIC IS RIGHT FOR YOU. TAKE YOUR TIME.

Here are two steps we are recommending in this Guide:

STEP 1: REQUEST A “FREE CONSULT”* WITH A BEST INJURY CLINIC* NEAR YOU ... AND ANY OTHER INJURY PROVIDERS YOU WOULD LIKE TO EVALUATE.

STEP 2: IF AN INITIAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION ARISES OUT OF YOUR FREE CONSULT, MAKE SURE THAT THE APPOINTMENT CAN BE CANCELED BY YOU FOR ANY REASON AND WITHOUT ANY PENALTY.  AT BEST INJURY CLINICS, THIS RULE APPLIES AUTOMATICALLY!

Remember – in most cases, THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH when it comes to choosing your doctor!

5 – Questions to Ask During Your Free Consult

Best Advice - When choosing your injury doctors, (1) evaluate several injury providers, (2) ask for “free consults,” and (3) ASK QUESTIONS.

Here are just a few of the questions we would recommend you ask your Best Injury Clinic or any injury provider(s) whom you evaluate.

      • Have you been trained in the Best Injury Practice Standards™ with Best Injury Practices, Inc.?
      • Are you able to accommodate me (as a rule) without charging at the time of service even if I don’t have insurance and even if I don’t wish to retain an attorney?* I.e., do you require me (as a rule) to hire an attorney even if I don’t wish to retain an attorney???*
      • Will you automatically stop care in accident cases once my own insurance runs out or stops paying? Even if I don’t have an attorney???
      • What formal training has your STAFF received to learn how to better deal with automobile accident cases? Do you use PI Back Office services???
      • If I schedule an initial appointment, will I be able to cancel that initial appointment for any reason and without any penalty?
      • Do you perform or request x-rays in automobile accident cases?
      • Do you perform or request CRMAs (Computer-Assisted Radiographic Mensuration Analysis) on those x-rays?
      • Do you follow any nationally-recognized treatment guidelines for your injury cases? What injury guidelines do you follow???
      • Do you objectively document ligament-healing, functional improvement AND relief of effects in the care which you provide? How???

A copy of these questions are included in our Free Auto Accident Guide.

Remember – in most cases, THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH when it comes to choosing your doctor!

6 – No Attorney? No Insurance? We Can Help!

“Do I Need to Get an Attorney?” “What if I Don’t Have Insurance?”

These are two of the most common questions we get from those who’ve been in automobile accidents.

The simple answer is – in many cases,* our doctors can provide care at no out-of-pocket cost* even if you don’t have insurance … and even if you don’t have an attorney.* Not all doctors are necessarily willing or able to provide accident care based on these considerations.

9 – Best Auto Insurance to Get

Auto medical payments insurance is one of the best forms of insurance on the market … and amazingly inexpensive! … in some cases only pennies / month! Protect yourself and your family.
Don’t wait until it’s too late.

We recommend at least $25,000-$50,000 of auto medical insurance and substantially more Uninsured / Underinsured (UM/UIM) coverage.*

      BEST AUTO INSURANCE

      Dear Patients,

As some of you may know, Our Doctors regularly treat patients who’ve been involved in automobile accidents.

Having seen what we’ve seen, we strongly encourage you to purchase at least $25,000-$50,000 of auto medical insurance to cover you and your family.*

AUTO MEDICAL INSURANCE IS INCREDIBLY INEXPENSIVE, BUT TREMENDOUSLY VALUABLE.

We would not rely on, say, just $5,000 of no-fault coverage. Think of it this way. If you were involved, heaven forbid, in a collision, and transported by ambulance to the emergency room, and you received x-rays, a CT scan and lab work, you would probably use up most of your $5,000 of medical payment coverage … and there wouldn’t be much left for actual treatment of your injuries. It’s not uncommon for medical bills to quickly exceed $5,000 in accident cases. We hope this information finds its way to you and your family! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a Best Wellness & Injury Clinic.*

      • Contact a Best Wellness & Injury Clinic or other qualified injury provider(s) right away … before an accident can occur.
